Our newest class offerings include a selection of “Masters’ Series” Metalsmithing classes, and are perfect for when you are ready for more involved projects.
There are multiple projects in the Metalsmithing Masters’ Series. Each class features a slightly different set of materials and can be repeated to continue to explore new techniques! Try one or try them all! You know what they say: “Practice Makes Perfect!”
- “All That Glitters”-[A] – Design a sterling silver bezel setting to present a gorgeous dichroic fused cabachon pendant.
- “By The Sea” -[B]- Create a sterling setting to show off beautifully understated sea glass inspired bracelet or ring.
- “Set In Stone”-[C]- Show off natural stones in a sterling silver setting featuring textured metal and granulation.
Each Masters’ Series project class provides three 2 1/2 hour sessions with extra studio time as required to finish the project. All materials and tools are provided.
The focus of the Masters’ Series Metalsmithing class is to continue to develop basic metal working skills while developing a sense of what makes for a well constructed piece. Each design will be unique and therefore will present new challenges and rewards (of course)! This class encourages a sharing creative learning environment!
